Manson Gang Hideout -- The Smoldering Remains

TMZ has obtained a photo of Charles Manson's Death Valley hideout after a mysterious fire gutted the infamous building earlier this week.

Charles Manson

The fire completely gutted the inside of the structure known as Barker Ranch -- officials are unclear if it was set intentionally. An investigation is under way.

Back in '69, Manson and his gang of murderers retreated to the cabin after slaughtering Sharon Tate and seven others. Manson was arrested at the cabin -- and the structure has since become a tourist attraction.

Officials tell us they're already getting offers from groups who want to rebuild it.

Sources tell TMZ Ty Pennington had just arrived for the taping in Hesperia, Calif. when flames raced through the Boulder Creek Ranch right next door to the concert venue.

Snoop Smoked Out -- Forced to Flee

Oprah, Rob Lowe, and Snoop Dogg: Fire knows no cultural boundaries.

Snoop's family and entourage had to ditch his Diamond Bar home yesterday amidst the wildfires surging across SoCal. KNX radio apparently encountered some of Snoop's people going to retrieve possessions and memorabilia -- not paraphernalia -- from his house. Snoop wasn't home during the fire.

150 homes have been destroyed and 26,000 residents have been displaced.

Her dogs are holed up at her Montecito estate, and even though her home is not threatened immediately, she's taking precautions.

"I don't have kids," she told her audience during a show taping this AM. "So the most important thing for me is my dogs." Lucky for the Queen's pooches, she already had a plan in place -- her dogs go to a nearby Four Seasons hotel.

Google This!

There is another cool feature to Google Maps (besides trying to find yourself on a satellite photo) -- checking to see if your house burned to the ground!

The CEO of Google, Eric Schmidt, bought this $20 million estate back in 2007. The four bedroom, four bath home, sits on four acres of land (yes, $5 million per bedroom/bathroom).

The road Schmidt lives on has been closed and the area is part of the mandatory evacuation zone.

Oprah and Lowe -- Hot Properties

Assuming fires don't ravage them, Oprah Winfrey and Rob Lowe have some pretty nice houses in Montecito to return home to.

Oprah purchased her 14,000 square foot house back in 2001 for a reported $55 million. It features six bedrooms and 14 bathrooms. Lowe's $25 million estate sits on a 242,193 square foot lot.

Thus far, the fires haven't reached either home. Fire knows better than to mess with O.

Oprah Dodged Bullet So Far

Oprah Winfrey's Montecito estate is not in immediate danger, at least so far.Oprah Winfrey
Her 45-acre estate (which is about three miles from the center of the fire) has not been evacuated, but as one person on scene said, "No one in the area is safe." We're told Winfrey is not in Montecito -- she's in Chicago, taping her show. Her peeps at Harpo say, "At this point, Oprah Winfrey's property has not been affected by the fire."

Also, Rob Lowe's estate is safe, so far. There are scores of celebs who live in that area and the fate of their homes is unknown. As one person on scene put it, "When daylight hits, this story is going to get a lot worse."
