Brit's Parents -- We're Soooo Frustrated

Jamie Spears The following statement was released to CNN's Anderson Cooper by Jamie and Lynne Spears, Britney's parents:

"As parents of an adult child in the throws (sic) of a mental health crisis, we were extremely disappointed this morning to learn that over the recommendation of her treating psychiatrist, our daughter Britney was released from the hospital that could best care for her and keep her safe. We are deeply concerned about our daughter's safety and vulnerability and we believe her life is presently at risk. There are conservatorship orders in place created to protect our daughter that are being blatantly disregarded. We ask only that the court's orders be enforced so that a tragedy may be averted."

61. The comment says "over the recommendation of her treating psychiatrist" - I take that to mean her treating psychiatrist didn't want her released, but staff at UCLA overruled her. Is that truly the case?

63. Britney was a pain in the ass for both hospitals and they just don't want to deal with her. She will end up dead before 2008 is over. This is a rich girl in the richest country in the world and we're letting her kill herself.

64. How did this happen?? Who the hell are these doctors that are letting her out of the hospital? If she doesn't take her medication regularly for an extended period of time it won't have a chance to start working!! Is it going to take a tragedy for the doctors to realize how bad this situation really is? How many times will we have to watch her go in and out of these facilities? If she was deemed unstable enough to be admitted twice it seems she is unstable enough to need to stay for a while!!

Jamie Spears has a plan to help his daughter now that she's been released from the psych ward.

Daddy's moving in!

That's right, sources close to the Spears family reveal exclusively to Access Hollwyood that Jamie is planning to live with Brit Brit.

He will monitor her along with another person that will act as a guardian/sobriety coach, the source revealed. “[They will] try to keep her calm,” added the insider.

Jamie and a lawyer have been named co-conservators of Britney with the ability to make decisions for her.

69. I find it almost incredible that the hospital let her out when they claimed she was gravly ill only 2 days ago.... I also find it amazing that a 23 year old who is obviously mentally unstable is running the streets of LA with dozens of Media persons in hot pursuit.. and not one.. not one police office in the whole 45 minutes of more that she and other were at risk.. showed up to put a stop to it.... This is a young woman who needs to have the press back off.. her parents take her to a "real" hospital that will keep her long enough to get her some "real" help... if everyone knows she is not mentally stable then what is the problem with keeping her long enough to really evaluate her.. she is a walking time bomb.. the police should be held responsible and so should the hospital... Those crazy nuts hanging on should be kept from her long enough to let her parents (who are doing everything they can) get her help... What is wrong here???? People get her some help before it really is toooo late.... I agreee with the parents... I feel for the parents... I am a parent..... and you have to know... that they did it the right way.. they have fixed it so that no one can say they are in it for the money.. they have a seperate Atty to keep up with the money.. it is not the money for the parents.. but those boys who keep hanging on are not trying to help her.. they want to tell her that her family is bad.. but take a look at these people ?? are they trustworthy??? I think not... The Media chasing her all over town was the most dangerous thing I have seen in a long time.. they seriously could have caused a wreck and innocent people could have been hurt.. LA... .I urge you to put a stop to this... put her back in the hospital... I know you can do it.. I have seen it done... and put a stop to the insanity....

70. Britney has a medical condition just like diabetes, cancer, COPD or any other examples I could give. She needs medical intervention and medication to help control her disease. The public really needs to educate themselves on mental illness, it is just like any other disease. She is a young mother that has 2 little boys that will grow up and see the way the public has scrutinized her, she at this point has very little control of her actions and needs help not judging her for something she has no control of at this point! I hope her parents keep fighting for their daughter to help her overcome this disease. I wish all involved the best of luck!

71. sadly her parents may have to take this all the way and fight to declare her mentally imcompetent to make daily living decisions in her best interests. adnan, you are taking advantage of a sick woman and you are no better than sam...at this point... do what you have to, jamie and lynne to save your daughter, maybe someday she will thank you for it... god bless you both and give you strength...to do what is needed and right.

73. I wonder what kind of "psychiatrist" allows Britney to leave the hospital, when that seems to be the safest place for her.. Can't her driver's license be taken away from her??? She still seems to not be in a good place mentally. I also feel very sorry for her parents.. It seems they are trying the best they can.... Britney does not seem to want to help herself. I pray she doesn't end up like Anna Nicole.... I hope she reads all these comments. Maybe it will wake her up mentally. She has to want to help herself.... It is up to her...
