Brit's Parents -- We're Soooo Frustrated

Jamie SpearsThe following statement was released to CNN's Anderson Cooper by Jamie and Lynne Spears, Britney's parents:

"As parents of an adult child in the throws (sic) of a mental health crisis, we were extremely disappointed this morning to learn that over the recommendation of her treating psychiatrist, our daughter Britney was released from the hospital that could best care for her and keep her safe. We are deeply concerned about our daughter's safety and vulnerability and we believe her life is presently at risk. There are conservatorship orders in place created to protect our daughter that are being blatantly disregarded. We ask only that the court's orders be enforced so that a tragedy may be averted."

17. Can't help someone who doesn't want to help themselves and it's clear that Britney doesn't want help. No matter what her parents do she is going to rebel against them and do what she wants.

18. I trust her parents. But there comes a point where they have to let go. She is determined to ruin her life, so let her. I was so happy she was finally getting help. I thought she would come out a different person. She loves her life just the way it is. Soon her fortune will be gone too and she will have nothing. Very sad

19. " We ask only that the court's orders be enforced so that we can profit from her as much as we can while she's inside"

22. I would have to agree with Britneys parents. I feel so bad for them. I know that it is very difficult to have someone with mental illness in your family. It is worse when the person is an adult. Adults have freedom and rights that a child does not have. it will be difficult for them to keep Britney put for she is an adult. I feel like Adnan should be ashamed of himself for running around with Britney and the other pap that was driving her around as well. They are not helping Britney, but getting off on being in the news and seen. They have no regard for her mental illness, her family and most of all her children. It is disgusting that people would play a part of such destruction. My heart goes out to the Spears family and may things work out sooner or later for them.

23. I hope the courts enforce the orders so that Brit can get the help she desperately needs. She and her family are in our thoughts and prayers. We can all only hope that she has an angel watching over her. God bless, Mr & Mrs, Spears.

25. Britney doesn't take orders. And she loves the attention so what's a father to do?

27. The hospital was afraid Britney would sue. Better to let her kill someone or herself than sue the hospital

28. Why would they let her go? Those poor parents dealing with the "crazy" in public! Let's also not forget JamieLynn that kid is going to have to have siamease twins to get any atention from mom and dad:)

29. It's about time. Sadly, there is little that can be done, legally. It's still nice to see that finally her parents are (publicly) acting like parents who have her best interests at heart. If there is one silver lining about this whole situation, perhaps it is the light being shined on what a shambles the mental health system is in this nation.
